Bennett Heritage House, 1988 Bowes Street. During B.C. Cultural Days, COHS is offering a Heritage Tour of this astonishing Designated Heritage House. This is an exciting opportunity to discover more about the House’s history and soak in the atmosphere of this 1914 Manor House. This landmark house has been the residence of two distinguished Kelowna families. Constructed by Francis DeHart, a pivotal figure in land development and the fruit industry during Kelowna’s formative years, this 4,900-square-foot home was started in 1912. Completed in 1914, the estate was named Brookside Manor. The Manor House was donated to the Central Okanagan Heritage Society in October 2024 by the Bennett and Tozer families.
