Halloween in the Okanagan 2026: the Saturday Halloween weekend guide

Downtown Penticton celebrates on Friday, Saturday runs from winery costume parties to a $500 costume prize at the Kelowna Events Centre, and Kettle Valley gets its usual crowd of trick-or-treaters. Here's how to plan the weekend from Peachland to Osoyoos.

Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and the valley has planned around it. Downtown Penticton holds its celebration a day early, on Friday afternoon, with trick-or-treating, Nightmare on Front Street and a Pen-High haunted house that gets scarier with each time slot. That leaves Saturday free. Families can spend the day at Mission Park's Treat Trail, a goat farm or the S.S. Sicamous, then go door-to-door after the 5:36pm sunset. Adults get wine-country Halloween in Naramata and on Boucherie Road, a 1920s speakeasy party in West Kelowna, and a long list of club nights in Kelowna.

We built this from the 45 Halloween listings on EnjoyTheOkanagan for October 26 to November 1, checked against Tourism Kelowna and Visit Penticton. BC doesn't change its clocks this fall, so Sunday, November 1 starts at the usual time.

Weeknight warm-ups and the rest of Saturday

There's something on every night before the weekend. Halloween horror trivia in Kelowna starts the week on Monday at 6pm, and West Kelowna holds a Halloween DJ skate on Tuesday at 6:30pm. Wednesday is drag night: God Is a Scottish Drag Queen's Halloween Spooktacular is at the Kelowna Community Theatre at 7:30pm ($54.11), and Honey Graham's free Halloween Drag Bingo is at Railside Brewing at 8pm, with reservations highly recommended. On Thursday there's a by-donation talk on the Day of the Dead in Mexico in Kelowna.

Saturday night in Kelowna has more on top of our picks above: a free '90s Halloween party, a Glory Days dance, a BUTI glow-yoga party, a Crystal Journey Halloween concert, Dead Bird Brewing with Jordan Maple, and a 10pm AfroFusion costume party. In Penticton, the Elks Hall puts on a Halloween rock concert at 7:30pm.

Neighbourhoods

Kettle Valley, Kelowna

KelownaNow's top pick: lots of doors close together and elaborate displays. One resident told the outlet she gets 300 to 700 trick-or-treaters, so expect crowds.

Kimatouche Road, Southeast Kelowna

Off Spaarpak Road. Some houses have counted 400 trick-or-treaters at the peak, and a new generation of families has started decorating.

Rutland: Benchview at Dougall

Known for elaborate displays. One homeowner at the intersection hands out candy by a fire and says she sometimes gets 200 kids.

Glenmore and Black Mountain

KelownaNow calls both great spots for trick-or-treating and less of a destination than Kettle Valley.

Downtown Penticton (Friday, 3–5pm)

Participating downtown businesses hand out treats on Friday, October 30, the day before Halloween.
