The story
About Little Straw Vineyards Family Estate Winery
The Slamka family from Czechoslovakia planted their first vineyard in 1969, selling grapes to commercial wineries before the three Slamka sons established their own winery in 1996. The 12-acre parcel grows Auxerrois and Marechal Foch vines, some over 50 years old. Little Straw offers tastings of VQA wines, vineyard tours and Indian cuisine with a vineyard twist. In late 2021, the Slamka family retired and entrusted the winery to Karnail Singh Sidhu.
